Anchored in the tactile joy of physical presence, our identity for ydp’s summer festival celebrates the convergence of people, ideas, and contemporary Asian art. Inspired by the concept of fermentation, "Bubbling" brought food, performance, and workshops together while temporarily opening London's gated Bedford Square Park to the public. To bridge ydp gallery and the park, we proposed a zero-vinyl spatial system using non-toxic, water-washable street paint, drawing from hand-lettering traditions across Pakistan, Indonesia, and India to guide visitors along dotted pathways. Extending this physical approach into the event's programming, we screen-printed the spatial map and daily schedule directly onto brown paper bags, turning event ephemera into a functional takeaway vessel for snacks and gathered keepsakes.
