'History of the Present' is a title and credit sequence design for Maria Fusco and Margaret Salmon's film exploring the female voice, who has the right to speak, and how. This was screened at the Royal Ballet and Opera.
A film is always a collective effort, full of people to thank yet writing a thank you card isn't common practice anymore, and it's hard to know whether to keep it generic or personal. We turned that question into the concept. What could a credit sequence become if it also carried gratitude?
Directors Margaret and Maria hand-wrote every collaborator's name as a personal thank you. These were then turned into rolling credits or rather, rolling thank yous.
We were introduced to the project by Edit Collective.

Edit Collective, whom we collaborated with on the Science Gallery London signage, recommended us to Margaret and Maria.
